ATEX-EU directive
ATEX stands for European guidelines for explosion protection, which are aimed at manufacturers and users of devices or protective systems that are used in potentially explosive areas.
Rehfuss offers specially designed gears and geared motors for this requirement.
More information is available here.
AC Motor
AC motors or single-phase motors are operated with a single-phase alternating current, i.e. only one outer conductor from the three-phase alternating current. In order to achieve a rotary movement, additional constructive measures are necessary.
Atex version
“ATEX stands for “ATmosphères EXplosibles” and refers to a set of EU directives for the harmonization of legislation on equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. The main purpose is to protect people who work in potentially explosive atmospheres or who could be affected by explosions.”
Axial force
The axial force is a vertical or horizontal force that acts directly along the axis of a screw or bolt. It describes the vertical component of the load on a screw or thread.
Angle drive
A right-angle drive, also known as a right-angle gearbox or bevel gearbox, is a special gearbox that transmits rotary movements and torques via angles of 90 degrees or more. An angle drive is a mechanical gearbox that converts a rotary movement into an angular movement. It is used to convert a rotational force into a linear movement or positioning.
